In the era in which unparalleled and inimitable houses are no more a dream, one needs put in sincere efforts to create a paradise out of their home, which becomes the envy of each of its visitors. A chic or classy fireplace can indeed give your cozy corner a special feel. Though for some people, building a fireplace might be a new idea, however it is worth giving a try. Today the market is flourishing with numerous styles and patterns of fireplaces and its tools and accessories. Truly speaking, outdoor fireplace is a great idea to create a lasting impression on your visitors and if it is accompanied with few classy accessories then it’s just like topping an ice-cream with a cherry. Outdoor fireplace accessories include stylish fireplace screens which are available in various patterns and styles. A log holder is yet another important accessory which should not be missed out when designing an outdoor fireplace. Elegant wood holders and ash buckets are also available in the market at affordable prices. Moreover if your fireplace is accompanied with a fire starter and a log splitter then no one can stop envying the aura you have created with an outdoor fireplace.
I have been in this situation many times and the answer is often gas logs. I have had clients with damage to their chimney flue inside a wall and believe they can put a gas log fireplace kit into their wood-burning fireplace instead of repairing the damaged flue. This is a mistake, and a dangerous mistake. Gas logs use liquid propane or natural gas instead of wood for fuel. When gas burns, oxygen is burned and carbon monoxide is created. If there is damage to the flue, a typical gas log fireplace is not the answer because the fresh air ventilation is still necessary to pull out carbon monoxide. The answer is ventless gas logs. Vent free gas logs do not have to be vented. When a client wants to design a custom outdoor fireplace but they do not want to build a chimney and cut through their patio roof, a vented gas log kit is the perfect solution because no ventilation is necessary.
One of the most important decisions you need to make when installing a fireplace is choosing the type and style of mantel. This can be a tad overwhelming as there is such a range of materials and styles available these days. A beautiful mantel will always contribute towards the overall look and feel of a room so it is important to get it right. Your choice will of course depend on the type of property you own and how much money you want to invest in adding a fireplace your home. Naturally if you have plenty of cash to spend a custom designed fireplace mantel is always going to be the best option especially if you want a fireplace mantel specifically to enhance the look of the decor in your room. Some of the most spectacular country house fireplaces are made of stone or marble. These not only have a timeless appearance that can add both charm and elegance to any room but they are built from a material that is durable and long lasting. A well-built stone fireplace requires less maintenance and creates a classic and commanding presence which immediately commands attention, making it the focal point of any room.
There is no doubt that there is a great deal of joy to be had from an open fire, especially on a cold winter’s day, and nothing quite adds as much character to a room as a beautiful open fireplace. An open fire gives us the kind of primeval comfort that our ancestors probably felt while enjoying the crackling of a burning logs and the scent of wood smoke. There is an unmistakable quiet pleasure to be gained from watching soft flickering flames dancing in an open grate. While there are a lot of obvious advantages of using a wood burning stove there is nothing to touch the charisma of an open fireplace in your home. It not only adds tangible warmth to a room but it also serves as a focal point, especially in the country home where there is more likely to be natural fuel easily to hand.
